Ingredients:

  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken (optional)
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup guacamole
  • Salsa, to serve

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or chicken (if using) until browned and fully cooked. Season with your preferred spices.
  3. On a large baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips evenly.
  4. Spread the refried beans over the chips, then sprinkle the cooked meat (if using).
  5. Evenly top the nachos with shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
  6. Add diced tomatoes, black olives, and jalapeños.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
