Here’s a delicious and easy Stuffing Balls Recipe—perfect as a holiday side dish, snack, or even appetizer!


🧄 Classic Stuffing Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups dry bread cubes (preferably day-old or slightly toasted)

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped

  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (or 2 tsp dried)

  • 1 tsp dried sage

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary

  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth (more as needed)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease lightly.

  2. Sauté veggies:
    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, celery, and garlic. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until soft and fragrant.

  3. Mix stuffing base:
    In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed veggies, parsley, and seasonings. Toss well.

  4. Bind the mixture:
    In a small bowl, whisk the eggs and pour over the bread mixture. Add broth a little at a time, mixing gently until the mixture is moist but not soggy. Let sit for 5–10 minutes to absorb.

  5. Form balls:
    Using your hands or a cookie scoop, form 12–16 stuffing balls (about golf-ball size). Place on prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake:
    Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the outside.


📝 Tips:

  • Make ahead: You can prep these the day before and refrigerate. Just bake when ready to serve.

  • Gluten-free: Use gluten-free bread and check broth ingredients.

  • Add-ins: Try cooked sausage, cranberries, or chopped nuts for variety.
