Stuffed Cheese Balls

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for stuffed cheese balls that you can enjoy as a snack or appetizer!

Stuffed Cheese Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • For the cheese balls:
    • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
    • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
    • 2-3 tablespoons cream cheese
    • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
    • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
    • Salt to taste
  • For the stuffing:
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped vegetables (bell peppers, jalapeños, or olives)
    • 2 tablespoons cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)
  • For coating:
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • For frying:
    • Oil for deep frying
    • Instructions:

      1. Prepare the cheese mixture:
        • In a mixing bowl, combine grated mozzarella, cheddar, cream cheese, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, chili flakes, and salt.
        • Mix well until the mixture forms a smooth dough-like consistency.
      2. Prepare the stuffing:
        • Mix the chopped vegetables (and bacon if using) in a small bowl.
      3. Shape the cheese balls:
        • Take a small portion of the cheese mixture and flatten it into a disk.
        • Place a small amount of the stuffing in the center and carefully seal the edges, rolling it into a smooth ball.
        • Repeat until all the mixture is used.
      4. Coat the cheese balls:
        • Roll each cheese ball in all-purpose flour, then dip in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure the coating is even.
        • For an extra-crispy texture, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating step.
      5. Fry the cheese balls:
        • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
        • Fry the cheese balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
        • Remove and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
      6. Serve:
        • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara, ranch, or spicy mayo.
