This Spicy Cajun Steak with Creamy Alfredo Pasta brings a delicious fusion of bold and comforting flavors to your dinner table. The steaks, seasoned with a zesty Cajun rub, offer a fiery kick that contrasts beautifully with the rich, creamy Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Creamy Alfredo Pasta:
- 8 ounces fettuccine or your choice of pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Steaks:
- Rub the steaks with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and cook to your preferred level of doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare). Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Cook the Pasta:
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet used for the steaks, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Combine and Serve:
- Toss the cooked pasta in the Alfredo sauce until well-coated. Slice the steaks against the grain and place them on top of the pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley.
