Ingredients
For the dough:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the filling:

  • ¾ cup raisins (soaked in warm water for 10 minutes, then drained)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Instructions
    1. Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, granulated sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    2. First Rise:
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
    3. Shape the Rolls:
Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle (about 12×8 inches). Sprinkle the raisins evenly over the surface, followed by the brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll the dough tightly from the longer side, then slice into 8-10 rolls.
    4. Second Rise:
Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving a little space between them. Cover and let them rise again for 30-45 minutes until puffy.
    5. Bake:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Let them cool slightly.
    6. Glaze and Serve:
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls. Serve and enjoy!
    7. These Raisin Bread Rolls are perfect for sharing with family or friends, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself keeping them all to yourself!
