Here’s a refreshing, protein-packed fruity energy drink recipe that delivers 17g of protein without the milky texture:

Tropical Berry Protein Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) mixed frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) orange juice
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) coconut water (adds natural sweetness and electrolytes)
  • 1 scoop (25g) vanilla or berry-flavored plant-based protein powder (typically provides around 17g of protein)
  • 1/2 medium banana (adds creaminess without milk)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added fiber and omega-3s)

Instructions:

  1. Blend: Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Mix: Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Adjust: If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more coconut water or orange juice until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Serve: Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately!
