My Mom’s Fudge

Posted on August 12, 2025

There’s something magical about a batch of fudge made by Mom — the smell of chocolate filling the kitchen, the gentle bubbling on the stove, and the way it always turned out perfectly rich and smooth. This recipe has been a family treasure for years, passed down with love, and it’s the kind of treat that instantly takes you back to cozy evenings and special occasions. Creamy, decadent, and irresistibly chocolatey, My Mom’s Fudge is the ultimate comfort sweet that will win over anyone who takes a bite.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • ½ cup whole milk

  • 1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and milk over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.

  2. Once boiling, continue to stir and cook for 4–5 minutes, ensuring the sugar fully dissolves.

  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.

  4. Add marshmallow creme, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until fully combined and silky.

  5. Pour the fudge mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 9×9-inch pan.

  6. Let it cool at room temperature for several hours or refrigerate until firm.

  7. Slice into squares and enjoy the creamy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness.

Tip: For a fun twist, sprinkle chopped nuts or swirl in a little peanut butter before setting.

If you’d like, I can also give you a short, heartwarming caption for this fudge that sounds perfect for a recipe card or gift tag. Would you like me to add that?
