These Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls are a must-have for gatherings, game-day snacks, or just a delightful treat any day of the week. Packed with savory sausage, creamy cheese, and the zesty kick of Rotel, these bite-sized wonders are quick to make and impossible to resist.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground pork sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained well
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Combine Ingredients:
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage and softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.
  3. Add the Rotel and Cheese:
    Stir in the drained Rotel and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Incorporate Bisquick:
    Gradually add the Bisquick baking mix, stirring until the mixture comes together into a dough-like consistency.
  5. Shape the Balls:
    Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into balls. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake to Perfection:
    Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve:
    Allow to cool slightly before serving. Pair with ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or your favorite dip for an added kick.
