Honey Glazed Chicken

Here’s a simple and flavorful Honey Glazed Chicken recipe that’s sweet, savory, and perfect for a weeknight dinner:

🍯 Honey Glazed Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)

  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional for thickening)

Instructions:

  1. Season the Chicken:
Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Sear the Chicken:
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and nearly cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make the Glaze:
In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Thicken (Optional):
If you want a thicker glaze, mix cornstarch with water and stir it into the sauce. Simmer until slightly thickened.

  5. Glaze the Chicken:
Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon glaze over each piece and cook for another 2–3 minutes, flipping to coat well, until cooked through and sticky.

  6. Serve:
Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions. Serve with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.

Tip: Want to bake it instead? Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, basting with glaze halfway through.
