This gluten-free Prosciutto and Provolone Panini is a delightful Italian-inspired sandwich, packed with savory flavors and perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner. The salty richness of prosciutto is balanced by the creamy melt of provolone cheese, all nestled between crispy gluten-free bread slices.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of gluten-free bread
- 6 slices of prosciutto
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil (or softened butter for extra flavor)
- Handful of fresh arugula (optional)
- 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your panini press or a large skillet over medium heat.
- Lightly brush olive oil (or butter) on one side of each gluten-free bread slice.
- Place two slices of bread, oiled side down, on a plate or cutting board.
- Layer 3 slices of prosciutto and 2 slices of provolone on each piece of bread. Add a handful of arugula for a fresh bite, if desired.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, oiled side up.
- Transfer the sandwiches to the preheated panini press or skillet. If using a skillet, press down with a heavy pan to flatten and crisp the sandwich.
- Grill for 3-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze for an extra burst of flavor.
- Slice in half and serve hot.
Enjoy your crispy, gluten-free panini!
