🍕 Gluten-Free Pizza Dough Recipe

✅ Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups (180g) gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum if your blend doesn’t include it)

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp sugar or honey

  • ¾ cup (180ml) warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp instant yeast

Optional: ½ tsp garlic powder or Italian seasoning for extra flavor

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Activate the Yeast:

    • In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar (or honey), and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until bubbly.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, and optional seasonings.

  3. Combine:

    • Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a sticky dough forms.

  4. Rest the Dough:

    • Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 20–30 minutes (helps hydrate the flour).

  5. Shape the Crust:

    • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet or pizza stone with parchment paper.

    • With oiled hands or a spatula, spread the dough into a circle or rectangle about ¼ inch thick.

  6. Pre-Bake:

    • Bake the crust alone for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.

  7. Add Toppings & Bake Again:

    • Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Bake for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.

🔁 Tips & Variations:

  • Make it vegan: No adjustments needed—this dough is already dairy- and egg-free.

  • Crispier crust: Brush with olive oil before pre-baking.

  • Freeze for later: Par-bake the crust, cool, and freeze for a quick pizza night.
