πΎ Gluten-Free Naan Bread Recipe (Yeast-Free Option Included)
β Ingredients:

1 Β½ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum)

Β½ cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)

ΒΌ cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)

1 tsp baking powder
-
Β½ tsp baking soda
-
Β½ tsp salt
-
1 tsp sugar
-
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (plus more for brushing)

Optional: minced garlic, chopped cilantro for topping

Mix the dough
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. -
Add wet ingredients
Stir in yogurt, milk, and olive oil. Mix until a soft dough forms. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour. If too dry, add a splash of milk. -
Rest the dough
Cover and let the dough rest for 20β30 minutes (this improves texture). -
Divide and shape
Divide into 4β6 equal balls. Roll each one into an oval or teardrop shape (ΒΌ inch thick) on a floured surface using more GF flour. -
Cook the naan
Heat a skillet (cast iron or nonstick) over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for 2β3 minutes per side until golden spots form and it puffs slightly. -
Optional garlic butter topping
Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over the hot naan. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro or parsley.
π Optional Yeast Version:

Replace baking powder/soda with 1 tsp instant yeast

Add 1 tsp sugar, and let the dough rise for 1 hour

Proceed with rolling and cooking as above
