Vanilla frozen tray dessert is a classic and versatile treat. Here’s a simple recipe you can try at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: chocolate chips, fruit, caramel sauce, nuts, etc.

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tray:
    • Line a rectangular or square tray (about 9×9 inches) with parchment paper or plastic wrap, leaving some overhang to easily lift the dessert out later.
  2. Whip the Cream:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This can be done with an electric mixer on medium-high speed.
  3. Mix in Sweetened Condensed Milk and Vanilla:
    • In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
    • Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  4. Assemble the Dessert:
    • Pour the mixture into the prepared tray, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
    • Add any desired toppings evenly over the surface.
  5. Freeze:
    • Cover the tray with plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
    • Place it in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until the dessert is firm.
  6. Serve:
    • Once the dessert is fully frozen, lift it out of the tray using the parchment paper or plastic wrap overhang.
    • Cut into squares or desired shapes.
    • Serve immediately, optionally garnished with additional toppings or sauces.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a few tablespoons of your favorite liqueur to the mixture.
  • If you like texture in your desserts, consider mixing in crushed cookies or nuts before freezing.
  • To create a layered dessert, you can alternate layers of the cream mixture with layers of crushed cookies or fruit.
