Frozen Fruit Salad

Cool, creamy, and bursting with fruity flavor—this Frozen Fruit Salad is a retro-inspired treat perfect for warm days, potlucks, or just a sweet midday snack. With a silky whipped base and chunks of colorful fruit in every bite, it’s a simple yet nostalgic dish that feels like summer in a slice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

  • 1 cup halved red grapes (seedless)

  • 1 cup chopped strawberries

  • 1 cup diced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

  • Maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)

  • Instructions:

    1. Cream Base:
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

    2. Add Fruit & Mix-ins:
Gently fold in the drained pineapple, strawberries, grapes, peaches, marshmallows, and nuts (if using).

    3. Fold in Whipped Topping:
Carefully fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.

    4. Freeze:
Pour mixture into a 9×13-inch dish or a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap. Smooth the top. Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

    5. Serve:
Remove from freezer about 10–15 minutes before serving to soften slightly. Slice or scoop, and garnish with maraschino cherries if desired.

    6. Tip:

You can also spoon the mixture into muffin tins lined with cupcake liners to make individual frozen fruit cups!

    7. Let me know if you want a version with yogurt, condensed milk, or a more tropical twist!
