Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls

Here’s a quick and delicious recipe for Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls — perfect for parties, lunchbox treats, or anytime you crave a no-bake sweet snack!

🍫 Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (or sunflower seed butter for nut-free)

  • 1/2 cup honey or corn syrup

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

  • Optional: sprinkles, shredded coconut, or crushed nuts for coating

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the base:
In a large mixing bowl, pour in the Rice Krispies cereal.

  2. Heat & mix:
In a small saucepan over low heat, stir together the peanut butter and honey until smooth and warmed. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.

  3. Combine:
Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cereal. Stir gently until fully coated.

  4. Form balls:
Let the mixture cool slightly, then use your hands to roll it into 1-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.

  5. Chill:
Place the tray in the fridge for about 20–30 minutes to firm up.

  6. Dip in chocolate:
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (in 30-second intervals, stirring in between). Dip each chilled ball halfway (or fully!) into the melted chocolate. Let excess drip off.

  7. Set & serve:
Return dipped balls to the tray. Decorate with sprinkles, coconut, or nuts if using. Chill again until chocolate sets.

Tips:

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

  • Make it gluten-free by using certified gluten-free Rice Krispies.
