Carnivore Chaffle Bacon Cheeseburger

This burger is packed with flavor, featuring crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a perfectly seasoned beef patty. It’s the ultimate way to enjoy a burger while staying on track with your diet.

Ingredients

For the Chaffle (Makes 2)

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp baking powder (optional, for fluffier texture)

For the Burger

  • ½ lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices cooked bacon

Toppings (Optional but Recommended)

  • Butter for toasting chaffles
  • 1 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 slice tomato (if doing keto)
  • Instructions

    1. Make the Chaffles

    1. Preheat a mini waffle maker.
    2. In a small bowl, whisk the egg, then mix in the shredded cheese and baking powder.
    3. Grease the waffle maker, then pour half the mixture into the center. Close and cook for 3–4 minutes, until golden and crispy.
    4. Remove and repeat for the second chaffle. Set aside.

    2. Cook the Burger

    1. Shape the ground beef into a patty, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
    2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patty for 3–4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
    3. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top, cover, and let it melt.

    3. Assemble the Burger

    1. Butter the chaffles lightly and toast them in the skillet for 1 minute for extra crispiness.
    2. Spread mayo and mustard on one chaffle.
    3. Add the cheeseburger patty, followed by bacon slices.
    4. Top with the second chaffle and serve immediately!

rving Tips

  • For extra richness, add a fried egg on top.
  • Want it spicy? Add a few drops of hot sauce or pepper jack cheese.
  • Ditch the condiments if you’re strict carnivore!
