Banana Bread

Banana bread is a classic comfort food, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or even dessert. It’s an easy recipe that makes use of overripe bananas—transforming them into a moist, sweet loaf with a tender crumb.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar (or adjust to taste)
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven: Set it to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the wet mixture. Stir in the flour gradually, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Optional add-ins: If you’d like to jazz up your banana bread, now is the time to fold in chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans) or chocolate chips.
