- 2 slices of bread (your choice, such as sourdough or whole wheat)
- 2 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or your preference)
- 2-3 slices of ham
- 1-2 tablespoons of butter
- Optional: mustard or mayonnaise
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bread:
- If using mustard or mayonnaise, spread a thin layer on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble the Sandwich:
- Place a slice of cheese on one slice of bread.
- Layer the ham on top of the cheese.
- Add the second slice of cheese on top of the ham.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, with the spread side facing the filling.
- Butter the Bread:
- Spread butter on the outer sides of both slices of bread.
- Grill the Sandwich:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
