🌭 Chili Cheese Dog Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 6–8 hot dogs (beef or your favorite type)

  • 1 can (15 oz) chili (with or without beans, or homemade)

  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar & mozzarella)

  • 1/4 cup diced onion (optional)

  • 1/4 cup jalapeños (optional, for spice)

  • 1 tbsp butter, melted (for brushing dough)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven – Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

  2. Layer Chili Base – Spread the chili evenly on the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle in diced onion and jalapeños if using.

  3. Prepare Hot Dogs – Wrap each hot dog in a piece of crescent roll dough. Place them seam-side down on top of the chili.

  4. Add Cheese – Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the hot dogs.

  5. Season & Bake – Brush melted butter over the dough, sprinkle with garlic powder, and bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

  6. Serve – Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley or green onions for a fresh touch.

🍴 Serving Ideas:

  • Top with sour cream, extra jalapeños, or even crushed tortilla chips for crunch.

  • Pair with a simple side salad or fries.

  • Great for potlucks, tailgates, or family movie nights.
