Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream or plain yogurt (for extra richness)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined. Don’t overmix.
