1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum)

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts or more chocolate chips on top

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
