Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms are a delicious and simple side dish that’s packed with savory flavors. Here’s how you can make them:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) fresh mushrooms (preferably cremini, button, or baby bella)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried thyme)
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp cloth or paper towel. Remove the stems if they are large or tough. You can leave the small ones whole or slice the larger ones in halves or quarters.
- Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, thyme, rosemary (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Coat the mushrooms: Place the mushrooms in a large bowl and pour the garlic butter mixture over them. Toss them gently to coat evenly.
- Roast the mushrooms: Spread the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
- Finish and serve: Once the mushrooms are done, remove them from the oven. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese for extra richness. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
These mushrooms make a perfect side dish to steaks, chicken, or pasta, and they’re also a great addition to salads or grain bowls. Enjoy!
