French Dip Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuits (8 biscuits)
  • ½ lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 cup beef broth (for au jus)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (for au jus)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin or baking sheet.
  2. Prepare the Biscuits
    Separate the biscuits and flatten each one slightly. Place a slice of roast beef in the center of each biscuit and sprinkle with shredded provolone cheese.
  3. Fold and Seal
    Fold the biscuit dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal. Place each filled biscuit seam-side down in the muffin tin or on the baking sheet.
  4. Season and Bake
    In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, dried onion flakes, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the butter mixture.
  5. Bake
    Bake the biscuits for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Make the Au Jus
    While the biscuits are baking, heat the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve
    Serve the biscuits warm with the au jus on the side for dipping.
