Gluten-Free Prosciutto and Provolone Panini

This gluten-free Prosciutto and Provolone Panini is a delightful Italian-inspired sandwich, packed with savory flavors and perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner. The salty richness of prosciutto is balanced by the creamy melt of provolone cheese, all nestled between crispy gluten-free bread slices.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of gluten-free bread
  • 6 slices of prosciutto
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or softened butter for extra flavor)
  • Handful of fresh arugula (optional)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your panini press or a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Lightly brush olive oil (or butter) on one side of each gluten-free bread slice.
  3. Place two slices of bread, oiled side down, on a plate or cutting board.
  4. Layer 3 slices of prosciutto and 2 slices of provolone on each piece of bread. Add a handful of arugula for a fresh bite, if desired.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, oiled side up.
  6. Transfer the sandwiches to the preheated panini press or skillet. If using a skillet, press down with a heavy pan to flatten and crisp the sandwich.
  7. Grill for 3-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for an extra burst of flavor.
  9. Slice in half and serve hot.

Enjoy your crispy, gluten-free panini!
