Ingredients:
- 1 lb ribeye steak (or any other tender cut)
- 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp butter (divided)
- 1 tbsp tallow (or ghee)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder (if preferred)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Steak Bites
- Cut the ribeye steak into bite-sized cubes (about 1-2 inches).
- Season the steak generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Set aside.
- Sear the Steak Bites
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp tallow or ghee.
- Once hot, add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan for a perfect sear.
- Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until a golden-brown crust forms.
- Remove the steak bites from the pan and set them aside.
- Cook the Shrimp
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 1 tbsp butter.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet once done.
- Finish with Butter
- Return the steak bites to the skillet, lower the heat, and add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes to coat the steak and shrimp in melted butter and juices.
- Serve
- Transfer the steak bites and shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh herbs or more butter, if desired. Enjoy hot!
