Tilapia Tacos Delight

Tilapia Tacos Delight is a fresh and flavorful twist on classic fish tacos. The perfectly seasoned and tender tilapia pairs beautifully with the crunchy cabbage and zesty lime crema, all wrapped in warm corn tortillas.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Salsa or pico de gallo (optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the tilapia: Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine cumin, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the fillets with olive oil and sprinkle the spice mixture on both sides.
  2. Cook the tilapia: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the tilapia for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden and flaky. Once done, break the fish into large chunks with a fork.
  3. Prepare the toppings: In a small bowl, mix sour cream and lime juice. This will be the tangy crema for the tacos. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
  4. Assemble the tacos: Place tilapia chunks in each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, a dollop of lime crema, fresh cilantro, and salsa or pico de gallo if desired.
