5-Minute Bread.

🥖 5-Minute Bread (No-Knead Style)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp instant yeast (or active dry yeast)

  • 1½ tsp salt

  • 1½ cups (360ml) warm water (about 105°F / 40°C)

  • 1 tsp sugar or honey (optional, for extra rise)

Instructions

  1. Mix — In a large bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, salt, and sugar (if using).

  2. Add water — Pour in warm water and stir with a wooden spoon until you get a shaggy, sticky dough. No need to knead.

  3. Rest — Cover bowl loosely with plastic wrap or a towel and let sit at room temp for 1 hour until doubled in size.

  4. Shape — Sprinkle flour on your counter, turn out the dough, and gently shape into a round or oblong loaf.

  5. Bake — Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a preheated Dutch oven. Bake at 450°F (230°C) for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and crusty.

  6. Cool — Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing (I know it’s hard to wait).

💡 Tips for Extra Flavor

  • Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the dough for a softer crumb.

  • Mix in herbs, cheese, or seeds before baking.

  • For an even crustier loaf, place a pan of hot water on the oven’s bottom rack during baking.
